Big place, Arkansas

Taken from a Greyhound bus (in which I had the pleasure of spending 25 long hours...):

25 hrs: aaargh! You could traverse most all of Britain in that time, no?

My travels to Scotland this summer were sublime. Edinburgh, drove to Dufftown (wrong-side of the road and all).

Jim, you pretty much could, except for our traffic jams, of course. 25 hours would probably get you half way round the M25...

Edinburgh is a lovely place, and down towards the Borders you pass some gorgeous scenery. I come from a bit north of there, in Perthshire. Equally nice.

The wrong side of the road: I wish I'd had the courage to hire a car when I was in the States, but I just didn't think I'd be able to get the hang of driving the wrong way...
